GEOTECHNICAL MEASUREMENTS

Geophysical measurements are used to obtain in-situ values of geotechnical and engineering parameters such as seismic velocity, elastic parameters, and electrical resistivity.     Applications include:

  • Soil electrical resistivity profiles for electrical substations and infrastructure.

  • P-wave velocity measurements for rippability.

  • S-wave velocity measurements for seismic site classification.

  • Cross-Hole seismic measurements between boreholes.
